Dr. Jones is the Craniofacial Orthodontist for the Craniofacial Foundation of Utah’s Cleft Team.  He works with specialists consisting of a plastic surgeon, oral maxillofacial surgeon, otolaryngologist and others to provide the comprehensive care that these patients require.

Dr. Jones is one of only a handful of dual-trained and dual board certified pediatric dentists/orthodontists in the country and he meets regularly with the entire Cleft Team to discuss, plan and coordinate the best treatment options for their patients.

He regularly sees young infants with unilateral or bilateral cleft lips and  palates for a  Nasal Aveolar Molding Device (NAM).  Dr. Jones works with these infants weekly over the course of 3-5 months to help ready them for their first closure surgery.  He then sees them as they grow for specialized orthodontic care that is tailored to their unique needs.
